Intalio|Cloud comes with two integrated applications leveraging the rich capabilities of the Intalio|Cloud PaaS functionality: Intalio|Cloud CRM and Intalio|Cloud BPM. The applications in the SaaS layer can be used as is, or as templates for developing custom applications.

This layer provides a set of application engines used to develop the most complex enterprise applications. The PaaS layer also provides a set of development tools for architects, developers, and end users, as well as a collection of multi-tenancy services (Security, User Management, Metering & Billing, etc.).

This layer is deployed on top of commodity hardware (blade servers typically), and is responsible for providing elastic compute and storage utilities in a multi-tenant manner. Unlike traditional SaaS applications that rely on database virtualization for multi-tenancy, Intalio|Cloud takes advantage of the recent progresses made with hardware virtualization (VMWare, Xen, etc.) and database partitioning for delivering an infinitely scalable and highly secure multi-tenant platform.

The Intalio|Cloud Appliance puts in a single rack (or multiple of them) all the hardware and software required to build a true enterprise-class cloud computing platform. The IaaS layer provides elastic compute and storage utilities in a truly multi-tenant manner, the PaaS layer provides a set of powerful application engines and advanced development tools used to create and manage the most complex enterprise applications, and the SaaS layer provides a set of pre-built applications (BPM, CRM, etc.) that can be used as is, or as templates for developing custom applications.
